Imagine a parade filled with floats and costumes celebrating what we love about the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley: all of the amazing art and produce that’s born here. Why a parade? Here’s the thing about parades: 1. You can’t fail. Even if it turns out to be one lonely child in a potato costume with seven people watching, it’s still a parade. 2. It’s amazing that in this crazy high-tech world, where we can take high definition photographs of mars, and clone pigs and people, we still do this hokey, charming, tender thing, the parade. If you haven’t been to a parade in a while, here’s how it works: some people walk down the middle of the street, and some people stand on the side, watching and clapping. It’s one of our most ridiculous, poignant rituals, and is unique to our species. What sets humans apart? The opposable thumb, and the capacity to have a parade. 3. Which brings us to the third point: the vegetables can’t do this without us! Our goal is to make this a fun, festive event to be involved in. By that, I mean encouraging involvement at the level that works for you. Putting the fun in functional. Contact if you want to be involved!
Registration is now open! Registration is for being in the parade only; no need to register to watch, or come to the after-party. https://www.purplepass.com/#182993/March_of_the_Vegetables_Parade-March_of_the_Vegetables_Parade-Begins_at_Houston_Barclay,_CPA-March-23-2019.html
